Welcome everyone to the journey of Scavenger Land, a Turn-Based multiplayer strategy game focused in finding solutions and fixing edges left behind by previous NFT-Games.
We are on a really competitive time on the Blockchain, a moment where the market is starting to get slightly saturated and with barely inexistent Barriers to Entry. This is why, if you are a fan of P2E Games and you do believe on the concepts Scavenger Land is trying to implement, make sure to spread the word around the block, since nothing right now is working better than word of mouth.
During the next weeks we will be focusing ourselves here on STRV Labs to growing the community and to perform some initial Marketing Activities. Also, we are working to deliver some extra documentation (Litepaper) that will elucidate some questions you must have.
Why developing Scavenger Land you might ask?
There have been many interesting trends on the Cryptocurrency market last year, being one of them the fever of NFT Games. This fever that mainly started on the Binance Smart Chain and also with Axie Infinity did a lot of noise even on the Mainstream. However, during those times, we from STRV saw the opportunity of building something simply better, with real gameplay and that was also an economy based game.
Of course, as every growing niche, failure is normal and it wouldn’t be different with NFT Games. On our point of view, this failure is just a matter of maturing and fixing the mistakes of the past and that over time the market will deliver better games with new dynamics and being much more solid — this is Scavenger Land.
Besides that, it is not a surprise that the Gaming Sector is huge and moves rivers of money every year. Nothing is as massive as games inside the entertainment market. ‘NFT’ dynamics and features are not really new on games and they have been explored by players since always, if you are reading this medium probably you already sold gold on Tibia, World of Warcraft or even traded skins on CS:GO and Elo boosted accounts on League of Legends. Services and Market Making inside games are something common and natural that has been happening since always, not using NFTs to boost it is a huge mistake.

What is Scavenger Land?
Scavenger Land is an PvP turn-based tactical game. The strategy depends not only on choosing the correct attack (a weapon) against the correct enemy but also interacting with the surrounding environment (the battle arena). Some of the game mechanics involve cover systems and teleports.
Each player has a skill level which is an on-chain, associated with the player’s wallet and non-transferrable. Skill points are acquired by winning PvP battles, they are lost by losing. After accumulating a certain number of skill points the player’s skill level gets upgraded.
The power of weapons and shields depends on the player’s skill level. This is how we prevent the pay-to-win scenarios where players would be able to defeat their opponents by buying powerful items.
As the player’s skill level increases more Scavengers can be brought into the battle and more weapons and shields can be equipped. This is how we gradually introduce the complexity without overwhelming players early on.
When is it going to be launched?
We will kickstart our journey of Scavenger Land on Q2, respecting the limitations of Community building that we’ll have to face until there. Until the Q2 the idea is that everyone will already have accesses to Gameplay content, teasers and deep information about our game.
Not only that, but on Q2 we are aiming to launch our Genesis Bundle, that mainly works as a ‘’Collector Edition’’ of Scavenger Land that has the objective of providing initial necessary tools to start on the game.

Why does the Genesis Bundle was created?
Our main goal with the pre-sale is to kickstart a community of early adopters, future players, beta testers and enthusiasts.
One of the many great things blockchain brings into gaming is an opportunity for early adopters to be properly rewarded for their support by holding unique items that can be traded later on.
All revenue collected during the pre-sale goes into the development of the game, crafting more items, prototyping new game mechanics, building effects and so on.
